At Hope for Opelousas, we believe well-rounded young people—strong in mind and body—become compassionate, thriving adults. Through outdoor exploration and creative expression, our Adventure and Enrichment Programs spark confidence, character, and curiosity. From neighborhood outings to summer camp, students grow as leaders and connect more deeply with their community.

Hope for Adventure – Giving Hope Giving Day is our chance to fuel these experiences. Every gift helps open the world to our kids—one adventure at a time.

    Sponsor a child’s trip to Kids Across America, a Christian sports camp in Branson, Missouri where urban youth are mentored by dedicated, hand-picked college counselors.

  2. GIVE EARLY: HELP US MEET THE MATCH (Any AMOUNT YOU CHOOSE!)

    Between May 19 - May 29: Give Early and Often to get our Adventure off on the right foot!

    This is your chance to join the journey! Annually we’ve participated in Giving Day and it’s been an Adventure - we’re back at it with our own 24 Hour Marathon!

 

Sponsor a Kid for Camp

You are giving a child the opportunity to attend a Christian sports camp in Branson, Missouri. Each summer we bring about 100 kids from Opelousas to Kids Across America where urban youth are mentored by dedicated, hand-picked college counselors.

Our HFO Adventure

Love at Hope for Opelousas has no borders. Adventure at Hope for Opelousas looks like: 

  • Our Adventure Crew hiking rim-to-rim at the Grand Canyon for their annual challenge trip 

  • Our teens conditioning in a local park preparing for their adventures  

  • 2 Bus Loads of Kids headed to Kids Across America in Branson, MO each summer

  • Nature walks, swamp tours, spending time outside on our playground. garden  

  • Our vegetable garden where we “Grow Hope”

  • Summer programming field trips
