Testimonial Thursday from 5th grader Traivon Leday, “What I love most about HFO is making new friends, going to camp in the summer, studying and being a leader. This year, I’m looking forward to making all A’s and B’s!”
This last day of October let's congratulate Elementary Student of the Month Timia!
From Nasia Woods- Elementary Director:
Timia has been a constant joy to have around since joining our program in the Summer of 2015; although it seems like she's been around forever because we would always have to kick her off the basketball court while she was little. Some standout qualities and abilities of Timia include her kindness, helpfulness, generosity, friendship, honesty, respectfulness, and artistic ability.
Timia is the October Student of the Month due to her remarkably good behavior (remaining in the Green Zone for 3 consecutive years), leadership, genuine nature, and always representing Hope for Opelousas in a positive light. Timia is always kind and considerate, and is always looking to make friends with new people. She always tries her best and is constantly working to be more like Jesus. We are excited to honor and celebrate Timia as October’s Student of the Month for HFO Elementary.
Congratulations to Tasha Boyd mother of Kaylynn and Jaylen, student of our high school program. On On Thursday she graduated from Delta College as a LPN. As a mother this was a challenging task. She maintained school, work, and being a full time mom. Congratulations on all your hard work!!!
Introducing Testimonial Thursdays, our kids, staff and volunteers are going to share a little bit about why they believe “Love Changes Everything” here at HFO: First up comes from 4th grader Ja’Kilya Castille “I love everything about HFO especially my tutors! I’m looking forward to making good progress in school and learning more about Jesus!”
